It's official- Kolton is sick, sick, sick
Poor guy! We went to the instacare clinic yesterday because Kolton woke up Sunday morning around 3am with a barking type of cough and he was holding his ear. The Doc said that he has an ear infection in both ears and the croup. :( So now he is on antibiotics for his ears and they gave him some steroids for his lungs to open them up. He did better last night but he is still pretty miserable today. I felt kind of bad taking his picture when he was so sad, but, I think it makes a good memory- his first real sickness. We have been so blessed with as tiny as he was at first that this is the first time he has been sick, so I guess it is kind of a big occasion. So- here is some pictures of him with the cotton in his ears.

What a fun week!
Well, I am on a total spiritual high from the Relief Society general meeting! President Uchtdorf totally made my day with his talk about how we are all doing okay no matter how we feel and that we are all recognized and loved by our heavenly father. I am so thankful for experiences like that- I just don't think that we as women can hear that enough. Well, there's my soapbox for the night! Kolton has now moved on from screaming and has decided that his feelings are better expressed by a cry followed by a huge raspberry (for the lay-person that means puckering your lips and spitting). I have yet to capture it in photo form but it is pretty funny! Also, the scouts came over for a service project and weeded our front flower bed and read Kolton a story..so cute! (Pardon the mess in the picture- I was sewing when they came over.) We went to see my nephew's football game today (GO BOBCATS!) and got some cute pictures of Kolton so, of course, I MUST post them along with a few other cuties of him. So, feast your eyes on my handsome little guy... ENJOY!
Ooodles and ooodles of love from us,

Happy Fall to All!!!
We absolutely LOVE fall in our home, and we have already taken a trip up the canyon to see the changing leaves. We got our decorations up and I am planning on making some killer pumpkin shaped sugar cookies for our FSA (Families Supporting Adoption) educational workshop this Friday. We had someone come by to look at our house today so it is all sorts of clean and sparkling, so I actually have time to catch up on my favorite bloggers and their lives. Kolton is seriously growing and learning by the second! He is starting to eat banana puffs and cheerios, even though he doesn't have teeth (but his bite is quite ferocious!) and he is getting close to being able to crawl! I am starting to sign with him already and I think he is beginning to understand some of the general signs like milk and sleep. He is so observant of everything happening around him and he is also starting to notice when I leave the room and he sooo does not like it! I'm sure that soon our neighbors will know every time I leave his sight because he is developing quite a scream! We hope everyone is doing great and enjoying this awesome season so far!
Much love and hugs-

About Me
- The Polka Dot Apron
- Life is amazing with my two adopted boys, Kolton and Sam, a stellar birthmommy, and super hubby. I love to create (sewing, quilting, crafting, you name it!) and most of what I create takes place while I wear my polka dot apron- my own creation- that makes me feel like a superwoman who can do anything! (Well, a girl can try!)
